It is our understanding that the Natives of VanTiki Island would fill this large jug with rum and tropical juices and leave it at the mouth of the vampire bats' cave during an  elaborate yearly ceremony to avoid being attacked in their sleep by the thirsty critters. It is carved from stone and adorned with the teeth of lost livestock, mysterious green stones found deep in VanTiki Bay, and the skull of Sir Thomas Smiddly who succumbed to the vapors after being thoroughly drained one night by the bats during his 1793 expedition.*

*The skull of Sir Thomas Smiddly (1st Lieutenant, HMS North Wind, 1790-1793) is easily identified via the elaborate dental work - the replacement incisor fashioned at sea by the ship’s blacksmith out of a 1787 gold guinea is often mentioned in the ship’s log.

A vintage Mr. Bali Hai examines the dental work.

The Jug of the Vampire Bat is a stately 9 and 3/4 inches tall and weighs 6 pounds 6.5 ounces.  It is entirely hand-crafted out of glazed high-fire ceramics with porcelain teeth and details. This is a one-of-a-kind sculpture, never to be repeated. Stamped, signed, and dated by the artist.
